. I think my closest friends would describe me as talented and curious, loving and compassionate, individualistic and left-leaning, a nature lover, environmentally concerned and opinionated. I am basically an introvert, but I have adjusted to a society which values extraverts. I base decisions on both feeling and rationale. I am intuitive and enjoy observing life. I used to be very socially involved but my lifestyle has changed and I'm not as social. I have many dear friends who I value and love. I am most proud of my parenting and my adult daughters. I am also proud of my wisdom and knowledge. I try my best to live within my principles and ideals. I generally have at least one good laugh a day and being surrounded in as natural an environment as possible makes me most happy. . There is so much in life to enjoy and explore and the only thing really that I'm missing is a 'true companion' to share it with. I am well travelled, having lived in many provinces and overseas in England for a couple of years. I am bilingual although English is my first language. I am independent and hard working but I never over do it. I know my limits and wasting time or giving myself some down time is key to having a stress free life. Well stress free is a bit of a stretch! My interests are many: creating, walking my dog, cooking for friends, going out for live music, theatre, movies, cross country skiing, canoeing and in the past I played squash and tennis. I'm not a fitness nut or a couch potato - somewhere in between. As I get older I appreciate more my good health and with that in mind I've made more of an effort to eat well and support locally grown foods. It's a life long journey to understand what an impact food we eat has on our body, mind and spirit. I am close to my family who is spread out across the country and I value the friends I have. I love the four seasons but having longer springs, summers and falls wouldn't bother me at all! As for the man I'm looking for, I will know when I meet him.
