. I have been divorced for many years and I have taken that time to get comfortable with me and the type of lifestyle I would like to have.
I have not dated very much and although I have to admit to some apprehension in using a dating sight (not really sure why) a friend finally convinced me I should try. Since my professional travel and a pretty busy life style have been taking up most of the time I had to agree this may be the best way for me to learn about and hopefully meet some exceptional people and hopefully one that could become a life companion. You will see that there is not a photo spread nor am I fully active on the system as yet as I am away for a bit until early in the new year recovering from hip replacement surgery. I was an athlete in my younger years and I just simply wore out my right hip so with the new one I should be better than ever. This does mean that if you have viewed my profile and have not received a reply it is not because I don't want to it is more that I am just not able to fully participate as yet but don't give up on me as I should be fully up on the sight in no time. You should know that I am an avid golfer and play competitively locally and then travel in the winter to Florida where I own property and play some more down there. If you are a golfer too that would be wonderful but it can be equally great if you have different intertests that you pursue and we can try to find some common ones just for us.
I am the proud father of an 18 year old wonderful young women who is in university here in Nova
Scotia and living on her own. I still have family and ties in Ontario and have lived from coast to coast during my professional career. I have been described as pretty outgoing and sometimes talkative with a pretty reasonable sense of humour although my friends will tell you I am not a joke teller, more a story teller.
I can be focused and goal oriented both personally and professionally. I really enjoy working with people and I love to see people smile.
As mentioned earlier I am an avid golfer and a former high level amateur athlete. I played almost all competitive sports both team and individual such as tennis and badminton, volleyball, basketball, baseball, hockey etc. Today, due to the bad hip the past three years some of my physique (more than I like) has shifted positions so I am not a "Porche" anymore but I am still very active and I like to be outdoors.
I hope that if you are a person who can be independant and comfortable in your own skin but eager to share special things and times in Iife we will find a way to connect. With luck we will both say we are better because of the things we are learning from each other and that we are looking forward to the rest of the marathon life should be.
