Date men and women from Canada / Nova Scotia / Digby, 46 year old

Date a man from Digby, Canada. Life is to be lived and enjoyed. Don’t get me wrong, I am a hard working person who is committed to my job but realizes that we work to live, not live to work. I enjoy being very physically active but also need a fair bit of down time such as relaxing on the couch and watching a good movie. I can be a little shy, and I enjoy small house parties with good friends. I am passionate about being active in physical activities, for example, motorcycle racing over the last few years was what I lived for, but lately I just go to the track once in a while for fun and laughter with good friends. This year is turning into the year of hiking and running with my young golden retriever and often a friend who I can barely keep up with (don’t tell him that, he thinks I’m really fit lol). I’m creative in the problem solving sense, but definitely not in the artistic sense – you really do not want to see me sketch or paint, heck I can barely write if you ask the people I work with lol. You can get me to dance after a couple of drinks but it’s not pretty...
My friends would describe me as honest to a fault, a hard worker, easy to be around, shy, fun to hang out with, young at heart, and a good conversationalist. One of my best friends has introduced me as “the nicest guy you will ever meet”. I think he meant it as a compliment??? :o)
I am very grateful for my health and my supportive family. Although I wouldn't consider myself as religious, I tend to read a fair bit about Buddhism and think the current teachings of mindfulness related to old Buddhist traditions can teach us a lot about living a good life.
I’ve lived in the Caribbean and traveled a fair bit and I still enjoy traveling but I’ve learned that you don’t have to leave the Maritimes to find interesting adventures. I enjoy giving and tend to look at the world as one community and that as poor as we often think things are around Nova Scotia, we are so lucky to have the great living standards and opportunities that we do. I am proud of the 10 days I spent in Hungary with Habitat for Humanity building houses.
My perfect match would be a woman who is honest, kind, moral, a little shy but still fun, young at heart, and physically active. A smile that makes me melt is the icing on the cake. She would be open about how she feels and be straightforward when communicating her feelings with me. Having similar interests is important but not necessary all the time. I believe two very compatible people can have a number of different interests and still have a great relationship. So yes, I will date non-motorcycle riding women lol.
