I'm somebody who is definitely intellectual. There are two recent accomplishments that I am really proud of. Last year I graduated high school, receiving an award and scholarship for volunteering as well as graduating with Ontario Scholar, gold medal. This year, I went back for another year of high school. I finished the year off with a 96 average and secured a wonderful scholarship with the university I will be attending in September. I was so proud that all of my hard work was noticed.
The simple things in life are what make me smile. While I like going out to fancy places or getting expensive things, they are not the most important to me. Some of the best memories I have are ones that were free; walking by the Atlantic Ocean when I visited Newfoundland with my family, picking wildflowers in a meadow, looking through family photo albums, watching sunsets. These are the things that make me smile; being with the ones I love is what makes me smile most.
I am grateful for everything. My mother was told at a young age that she would never be able to have children, so me even being here is a miracle, and something that I am so grateful for. I am also grateful I live in a wonderful country like Canada, that I have a roof over my head and food to eat, that I can get an education. Yes, I have a lot to be grateful for.
I am definitely a quieter person. I am more talkative around friends and family, but in most social situations, I am generally quiet. Therefore, my social life doesn't invole going to bars, going to large parties or anything like that. I prefer to have a quiet afternoon or evening in with friends. I'm hoping to attract a guy who has this quality, but who will also be able to pull me out of my shell a little it.
