Meet a man from Deep River, Canada. Hi it’s always hard to describe yourself. I think most of my friends would describe me as a gentle caring person. I’m usually a little quite in groups of people that I don’t know too well, and I guess some people would describe me as shy, but I quickly warm up to people as I get to know them and I like to talk. I think I have a good sense of humour and like to laugh a lot. I enjoy quite times on my own, but also very much enjoy the company of my friends and often have people around to the house for dinner parties or BBQs etc. I enjoy cooking.
I live in a small town, which I love, and I am very active in the community with volunteer work. I recently joined our local potters guild and I’m learning to throw pots on the wheel (not to good yet). I also enjoy working with wood and volunteer building sets for the local theatrical group and for school plays etc. I enjoy being around the people in the theatrical group, as they are very high energy and a lot of fun. I’m trying to pluck up courage to take part in one of their productions.
I work in research and enjoy math and reading about the history of science, but I’m careful not to inflict this on other people unless they are interested. I guess you could describe me as a bit of a nerd. I keep myself fit by cycling the 16km into work every day and workout a little. I think I’m in reasonable shape for my age! I have many other interests but this is getting a little long so I’ll stop now.
The only other thing I want to mention is that I have two children still at school and they live with me on alternate weeks. When my children are with me my focus is almost entirely on them.
