Date men and women from Ontario, Canada. I am a healthy, relatively fit and active guy who is strongly committed family man. That said I'm ready to explore what life has to offer me now. I'd like to believe my priorities are right. While I work hard when I need to, I can enjoy myself too. I'm fortunate to have a work schedule that allows me to balance everything quite nicely most of the time. I feel grateful for that.
In terms of activities, you can find me on my exercise bike, walking the dog, or playing golf. I'm a fan of the movies, and will even brave the "Drive-In" while the weather's nice. I can relax listening to my favorite tunes; '70's, '80's classic rock and pop, with a sprinkling of '90's grunge all the way to some and I repeat some of the newest stuff. Tough to avoid with music loving kids!
I'm a huge travel fan and many times will choose a great trip somewhere (North America to Europe) when I can find the time. The memories of great travel in my mind are some of the best memories. I'm also a lover of the simplest things in life, like chatting with one of my kids in the car to going for random drives somewhere for the heck of it.
My closest friends and family would say I'm kind, generous, genuine, and funny. I'm most proud of what I have achieved with my 3 kids so far, and how I've always managed to keep my business ethics, and decency in business a cornerstone.
My social life is what I make of it. I'm as happy to enjoy time in an intimate 1 on 1 setting as I am a larger gathering.
I'm hoping to attract a lady comfortable in her own skin; One who is content with herself, sexy, feminine, appealing, who takes care of herself physically and emotionally. I'm not looking for a "look at me" kind of gal, more a quietly confident lady who can converse with anyone comfortably but who doesn't crave attention. Wow, after a week of going through profiles I found that there are a lot of people in denial on this site. I think there should be definitions for some people especially regarding body type. I don't mean to be shallow however I am 6'1" and weigh 230 lbs. and go to the gym regularly and would like to lose another 15 lbs. so I consider myself a few extra pounds, not athletic and toned although I could probably get away with about average on this site. It's like cheating at golf, by not being honest your not helping yourself.

Meet someone special from Canada. First, rest scecure that I really DO look like my photos! Now, full disclosure: my profile age is younger so you don't miss me, but actually I'm an outstanding 54. Since my female friends (who are always honest with me!) tell me that my energy and physicality are that of a much younger man, and I've just come clean with you, my conscience is clear. Besides, why B.S. online about age, height, and weight anyway? What happens when you meet? Now that we've sorted that out....
I am well educated, well mannered, well read, a life long athlete, and always excited to do or learn something new! Fitness and activity is fundamental for me, but please don't let my photos scare you off! You don't have to be an Olympic calibre athlete to "get" me, so long as you honour your physical self, and connect to that in your own way. Being fit, energetic, and following a healthly lifestyle means that we'll have more in common and can share a lot more fun together!
I still love to learn, and I'm always trying to understand the 'why' of what I encounter. I try to be open to the wisdom that is always available to us, even in our 'mundane' daily experiences. I read voraciously, usually multiple non-fiction books at a time on diverse topics (currently juggling books about the writing of the Oxford English Dictionary, the fall of the Roman empire, Zen wisdom, and the application of mathematics to athletic pursuits). With my Kindle I'm a kid in a candy store - searching thousands of books to find the ones I want to read!
According to my female friends, I'm fashionably stylin' in everything from the suits to the weekend casual. OK... that's why they're my friends! I'll just say that I'm equally comfortable around a campfire or a formal table, and I dress appropriately for either.
I've had very diverse life experiences, including travel and living overseas. My life experiences, education, and wickedly sharp sense of humour allow me to fit well into any social situation or group. I truly enjoy being with an equally witty woman, because then a fun time and lots of laughs are guaranteed! I can easily converse over dinner or drinks about art, literature, politics, movies, or athletics. I can also pedal 120km in under four and a half hours, stop a child's tears, stern a canoe, comfort a friend, roll a kayak, iron my own shirts, and light a fire with one match.
I am blessed with two beautiful teenage children that I co-parent. I have a workable relationship with my former spouse.
I believe in the web of karma. While I have a strong spiritual practice, I try hard not to be precious about it. I play well with others, but I've always been an independent and critical thinker.
Someone recently told me that I am an 'outlier'. By that, she explained, she meant that I'm more youthful, fit, energetic, active, and fun, than the vast majority of my chronological (or younger) cohort. Perhaps this explains why finding a compatible woman has been so challenging for me... I don't fit the 'norm' in so many ways. But then... neither do you.
You may have noticed the absence of a �shopping list’ (can't be that, must be this, have that, blah blah). Never had one. I am just looking for an intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual connection with someone who will have that with me. I have been searching for you for a long time.

It is hard to encapsulate who I am in a few sentences, but I will try. I am dynamic, kind, successful, active, adventures, playful, have a great sense of humour, can be silly at times, without purpose life would be meaningless, being of service to others is important. It is very important for me to have an intellectual partner, I need the that stimulation, I also need someone emotionally available and doesn’t live their life on the surface, some one not scared to open and share their emotions and thoughts. Skiing, cycling and traveling play a big roll in my life.
