Date men and women from Canada / British Columbia / Duncan, 60 year old

Date someone special from Canada. I enjoy quiet times, socializing, cooking, the outdoors. I like to see myself as a fun person to be around. i enjoy a good laugh, enjoy company who appreciates the simple and finer things in life. I'm looking for someone who enjoyslife, not afraid to laugh, to express their thoughts and ideas. Friends describe me as a honest and upfront, what you see is what you get. I'm not a 500$ beater that you by from the car lot. If you would like to meet, send me a message. Cheers.

Meet a man from Canada. The greatest endeavor, and pleasure of the last 20 years has been raising my two children. I have been happily separated since my daughter was 4, she is now 16. My son almost 19 lives away now at university. Both kids have lived with me at least half time. We have lots of laughs and have managed to make it thorough with no rules. We just look out for each other. I think it is important to encourage young people so I have tried to never say no. We find a way to say yes.
I have a strong personality (I have been told this once or twice ) and as is with everyone my best traits are my worst liabilities. I have lots of energy, I'm positive, quick witted, outspoken and kind of idealistic. I am fiercely loyal and I am not sure I can even spell shy. Nothing there that could cause any ripples.
I have been fortunate enough to have always worked for myself and have had enough moderate successes to continue to do so. I am probably unemployable anyway. I have never confused who I am with what I do.
I competed in Judo for many years and wrestled at university, so physically I would be stocky. Or as one friend calls me rough tough and easy to bluff.
I like to do most things outdoors, lately it has been mountain biking. I have done lots of kayaking, wilderness rafting, and day hiking.I can cook quite well on a campfire. I am not a gardner but if it is outside I like building things. Our house is heated with a woodstove, and wood heats one about 5 times, cutting, splitting, moving, stacking, then burning. Its a good thing I enjoy all 5.
Humour is important in my life. It keeps everyone from taking themselves too seriously. Of course if someone laughs at my jokes I consider them to have a good sense of humour as well. It is difficult to use humour here and not seem flippant. Being serious makes me seem pompous.
I enjoy women and I like them. I have learned a lot about women from my daughter. She in some ways is the first woman I have spent any energy thinking about. Not to kid anybody though, I still have a lot to learn about women and relationships. I think kindness and sincerity are most important in a relationship.
I must confess to not getting that whole soul mate thing.I think back to about grade 3 no one started out to be best friends they simply said lets go do something. The next day it happened again, and them somehow it became assumed you would do something or everything together. This is in my simple way how I see good friends coming together. If you are a women who wishes to do some things and have some fun, keep me in mind.

Date people from Canada. I'm a laid back kind of guy. I do not sweat the small stuff. Life is too short. What I value most is honesty, trust and dedication. Looking for someone who feels the same. Be honest and see what happens

Meet men and women from Canada. I get great joy from simple things. A child's smile/giggle, the beauty of nature, animals. I love giving an receiving hugs. I've learned that respect and honesty are very important in relationships. I am an open and spontaneous person who loves to listen and take part in interesting conversations on many topics. I'm always busy doing something or other. I'm told I have a great sense of humor & see things in a different way than most people, which makes them laugh. To make someone laugh is a great joy for me. I'm looking for a self-assured man who knows what he wants, and enjoys Bible study groups, and belonging to a dynamic church.
My spiritual gift is discernment. I have a very strong intuition at times, and through prayer and the Holy Spirit have been able to help people in many ways. ie: diagnosing medical problems that tests are not revealing. I am a Certified Christian Life Coach, and am growing my practice. I love helping people move forward in their lives and making a difference.
I'm a very social person, and like to talk with people every day. I am most proud of having the courage to end a long marriage, 22 years, that had become abusive and dysfunctional.
The funny things that children and animals do make me laugh out loud.
I am looking for a man who is willing to become my best friend, and show me that he loves me and cherishes me as HIS best friend through good times and challenging times. He must understand commitment, and honor fidelity.
Must have a good sense of humor, and not take life too seriously. He must be a whole person, not looking for me to complete him.
My closest friends would describe me as strong, courageous, loyal, funny, dependable, loving and generous. They also sense a refreshing innocence in me, that is unigue and intriguing.
My love language is Quality time first, and Physical touch second. I'm a very cuddly
person. I love being near the ocean, and sitting in a warm environment watching a storm, or waves crashing into the beach. I love walking on long beaches, and bringing home interesting shells. Sanibel Island is one of the places I enjoyed while visiting Florida

Date a soulmate from Canada. I'm very creative, intelligent, like to laugh out loud.
I'm tidy and like the same. Love a project to do
together in harmony. Like seeing and doing new things. There isn't anything better than laughter.
Love dogs and animals in general. I would want
a partner who is intelligent with a great sense of humour and who wants to have some fun. Honesty is of course very important. I'm an honest person -
maybe too honest for some people's liking.
I don't mind fishing but can't tolerate hunting. It's the killing bambi thing. Just as I try not to harm animals I also try not to harm people. Art and anything of an artistic nature is very important to me. It is where I go when the chips are down. I don't mind a partner with ideas that differ from mine but we have to be able to talk to one another from an understanding point of view. I agree with something someone on this site said "it's not important where you go and what you do - it's the attitude you bring to it".
I like boating - prefer fair weather as I have tried the other several times - lived through it - but it's not that much fun. I love someone who says "hey I want to do..." Don't much care what it is as long as they are passionate about it and it includes me. That doesn't mean I don't want time apart to do my own thing - that is a given and vice versa. But if you never want to go out or make a plan that will be a problem. I have a beautiful home and that is important to me - creature comforts. I'm not at an age where I want to spend much time in a sleeping bag on the ground. Resorts in nature - sounds better.
Spa - sounds better than sweating it out in aerobics! I am financially independent and am looking for someone in the same position. Although I have a business and a home and am settled here where I live I am open to change as long as it is exciting and worth making that huge effort. I am currently very involved in painting. I have exhibited in galleries before and am getting back into it. That is not my business tho and not the way I earn my income (thank goodness). Although I'm sounding very responsible I do have a quirky side for sure. In fact most people tell me I'm a little unusual - in a good way I hope. I'm not a thrill seeker but once in awhile I like to do something crazy - white water rafting, race car driving, jet boat riding etc. Just not all the time. Mostly what I do with my time is work, watch TV, walk my dogs, maintain my house and yard, shop and paint.
Well that is a lot about me - maybe too much!
